Parameters

In response to the display shown in Edit/display configuration on page 382, L can
be entered to display or modify the line module parameters. Line module
parameters apply to all ports on a line module. The display in response to this
entry is shown below. All values shown are the defaults.

If no changes are desired for the parameters shown, enter a Y to return to the
display that shows the ports on the line module. To change a parameter, enter the
letter in parenthesis that precedes the parameter. After the change is made, the line
module parameters are displayed again. Do not select parameter a, Line module
type. This parameter is established automatically each time the unit is reset. The
first line module is the bus master and all others are slaves. The remaining
parameters are described in detail below.

All messages may be entered in the local language.

Connect Timeout

The Connect Timeout parameter defines the amount of time, in seconds, that the
communications platform waits to establish a logical connection between a
terminal and a host. When the timeout expires, the Host Offline message is
received. The values are decimal numbers from 1 to 30, 15.

Message Received Timeout

The Message Received Timeout parameter defines the amount of time, in seconds,
that an internal task waits for a message from another internal task. This value
should not be changed from the recommended value unless instructed by TXPORT
technical support. The values are decimal numbers from 1 to 30, 5.
