Turnaround Delay

The Turnaround Delay is the time, in milliseconds, the unit waits between the
receipt of a message and the transmission of the response. If the connected device
seems to be missing messages because they are coming back too quickly, increase
this value. A Turnaround Delay of 10 should be used on sync lines, while a value
of 0 should be used on async.

The values for this parameter are in 10-millisecond increments. A value that is not
a factor of 10 rounds down to the nearest 10-millisecond factor.
Example: A value of 15 rounds down to 10 milliseconds.

The selections are 0 to 2550.

RTS/CTS Control

This parameter controls the RTS (request to send) and CTS (clear to send)
signaling. The DTE /DCE setting of the port determines which lead is affected by
this parameter as shown in Table 8-5.

Poll Timer

This is the time that can elapse, with no activity from the host, before the
TXPORT device declares this port offline. Once the port is declared offline, a
Disconnect Request is issued for each station connected to this host. If the station
is connected through an X.25 link a Clear Request is issued on that LCN. The
selections are 1 to 255, 60.

Input Timer

The Input Timer specifies the time, in milliseconds, the TXPORT device waits for
an acknowledgment from the host after a messages is sent. If no acknowledgment
is received within this time the unit initiates error recovery. The selections are 10
to 2550, 1600.

Host Name

Each NCR Host port must be assigned a name. This may be any combination of
up to 17 alphanumeric characters. A space or the end of the field delimits the
entry. This name is used in the terminal's Default Host field. The default is blank.

Backup Host Name

When declared offline, the port transfers all current station connections to the host
named in this field. The default is blank.
