Option E - RFC 1490 Encapsulation with the Bridge Application
When this option is set for a specific DLCI, it causes the MultiPro unit to add the
header defined in RFC 1490 for each frame transmitted (Figure 12-15). This
provides interoperability with any 802.1d compatible bridge supporting the RFC
1490 encapsulation.
Figure 12-16 shows the endpoint list for unit 001’s frame relay port which
connects to the 802.1d bridge through the public frame relay network.
