Configuration.

Enter the configuration number where the stations to be copied

reside.

Module.

This parameter represents the line module number in the source unit.

Port.

Enter the port number where the source stations reside.

Copying from different port types is allowed.

DLCI (Data Link Connection Identifier)

The DLCI is the LCN (logical connection number) of the PVC (permanent virtual
circuit) for a particular destination. The endpoint list may contain multiple entries
with the same DLCI. This would be the case when the TXPORT unit at the remote
end of the link had several host ports which were accessible from the local unit.
The endpoint list may also contain multiple entries with different DLCIs. Each
DLCI represents a geographically dispersed destination.

When connecting to a public frame relay network, the available DLCIs and their
corresponding destination are supplied by the network vendor. When using frame
relay across private leased lines, any valid DLCI may be used. DLCIs 0 and 1019
to 1023 are reserved for special use and should not be defined as endpoints.

Endpoint

The endpoint represents the name of a destination. It must correspond to a host
port name on a remote TXPORT unit.

Alternate Endpoint

This field specifies the name of another frame relay port where connections may
be transferred if the current port goes off-line. The connections are transferred with
their original destination, ensuring the station connects to its original destination.
See also DTR Dial Backup on page 10 -212.

Default Connect

This field is used to route frame relay traffic received from a non-TXPORT device.
All traffic received on this DLCI is forwarded unchanged to the destination named
in this field. Option A (transparent) should be used in this case.

Frame Relay Options

A Transparent channel.

When this options is set it implies that the TXPORT device

is acting as a switch for two foreign frame relay devices and every frame received
will be passed out the other port unchanged.

B Compression enabled with default dictionary .

A compression dictionary will be

allocated for every connection established on this endpoint.

C Use smaller dictionary for compression.

Compression enabled with a small

dictionary.

D Use larger dictionary for compression.

Compression enabled with a large

dictionary.
