4.4.2 Using the ActiveX plug-in

The first time you access the web application you are
asked to install ActiveX

Click Install to start the installation of the plug-in.

Once the plug-in has been successfully installed, the
camera is displayed by ActiveX.

In some cases, Internet Explorer (IE8) may block the installation of the plug-in.

If this happens, you must change the security settings in the internet options(Tools

Internet

options).

Select the Security tab and click Change level.

In list in the next dialog, change the setting for

“Initialize and

execute ActiveX controls that are not marked “safe for
scripting”
from Disabled to Enabled. Then click OK to close
the window.

After that, close the browser and start it again. You can now
use the plug-in.


Note:

If you use Firefox, Chrome or Safari, you must install ActiveX manually. To do this, download
the appropriate plug-in installer from

www.abus-sc.com

and follow the instructions of the

installation wizard.
