3.1.1

Progressive Nitrous Without Fuel Control

Use this configuration to control the nitrous solenoids, but not the fuel solenoids. This configuration is known as
"Dry Nitrous" due to the controller not providing fuel control. Users installing the controller in this configuration
will still need to supply the fuel, just through means other than the controller itself. Two examples of ways to
achieve the proper fueling with this configuration are:

to an auxiliary injector controller or aftermarket ECM input.

NOTE: Because the fuel solenoids are not controlled using this configuration, a third and fourth stage
of nitrous could be achieved by connecting the third and fourth nitrous solenoids to the "Fuel Solenoid
1" and "Fuel Solenoid 2" outputs on the NCC-002 nitrous controller. The third and fourth nitrous
solenoids would then be configured by changing the

"Fuel1" and "Fuel2" graphs

.

WARNING: Nitrous solenoids are capable of drawing massive amounts of current, which can allow the
NCC-002 to see too much current and to possibly overheat. The NCC-002 controller is rated to
withstand a maximum, non-sustained current draw of 30 amps per solenoid channel or a maximum,
non-sustained current draw of 60 amps for all four solenoid channels combined. The NCC-002 is not
designed for continuous current draw at any amperage. For higher current applications, LPE
recommends using relays so that the controller does not see too much current.

WARNING: DO NOT leave the nitrous arming switch ON as it can overheat the safety solenoids.

Connect the solid red wire labeled "12 VOLT PWR" to the "+12 Volt" terminal on the NCC-002 and to a fused
(15 amp) and switched 12 volt DC source.

Connect the solid black wires labeled "GROUND1" and "GROUND2 to the "Ground1" and "Ground2"
terminals on the NCC-002 and to the battery ground stud. Be sure to connect BOTH ground wires. Since the
NCC-002 controls the ground side of the solenoids, much more current will travel through the ground side of
the NCC-002 than the +12 Volt side.

Connect the yellow wire labeled "ARMING INPUT" to the "Arming Input" terminal on the NCC-002, through a
WOT switch (alternatively, the TPS can be connected to the TPS Input), and to one of the wiring terminals on
the Nitrous Arming Switch. The Nitrous Arming Switch output should then be connected to the input of the
nitrous solenoid(s). If the combined current load of the nitrous and/or fuel solenoids exceeds the capacity of
the NCC-002, LPE recommends controlling the solenoids via relays. Depending on the current rating and
quantity of the solenoids you are using, it may be necessary to use separate relays for each of the nitrous
stages. If using relays to control the solenoids, see example wiring instructions in

section 3.1.3.

Connect the striped dark brown wire labeled "N2O SLND 1" to the "N2O Solenoid1" terminal on the NCC-002
and to the ground side of Nitrous Solenoid 1.

If a second stage of nitrous is desired, connect the striped green wire labeled "N2O SLND 2" to the "N2O
Solenoid2" terminal on the NCC-002 and to the ground side of Nitrous Solenoid 2.

If the user desires to activate the nitrous using engine speed, to data log the RPM, or to control a shift light,
connect the striped white wire labeled "TACH INPUT" to the "Tach Input" terminal on the NCC-002 and to a
suitable RPM Signal Source. The RPM signal source could be the tachometer output lead of the vehicle, the
switched side of the ignition coil (negative side), or the 5 volt RPM reference signal. See

If the addition of a shift indicator light is desired, connect the solid green wire labeled "SHIFT LIGHT" to the
"Shift Light, +12V" terminal on the NCC-002 and to the shift indicator light.
