Obtaining the TPS signal on a vehicle equipped with a mechanical throttle body:
•
Locate the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).
•
Disconnect the TPS harness from the TPS and remove the loom from the harness.
•
Locate the TPS signal wire. This is the wire that communicates the throttle position to the PCM.
•
Splice a wire onto the TPS signal wire.
•
Use the labeled wire from the NCC-002 wiring harness or crimp a terminal to the other end of the wire that
was spliced into the TPS signal wire in the last step.
•
Insert the terminal end of the wire into the "TPS Input" terminal on the NCC-002.
•
Re-install the loom back onto the harness
•
Re-connect the TPS harness to the TPS.
•
Program the
TPS Input
on the NCC-002 controller.
