Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Setup Menu

The following options are found in the TPS setup menu, which can be accessed by the "SETUP" button on the
main screen of the controller or the TPS Input tab on the Setup screen of the computer software. The TPS
accepts rising or falling voltage signals. Note that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and the Accelerator Pedal
Position sensor (APP) are NOT the same. While both the TPS and APP sensors function by relaying a voltage
to the ECM that translates into the degree of engagement, the measurements and their consequential voltages
are not the same. While the NCC-002 can accept either signal, LPE recommends that the NCC-002 be
connected to the TPS in most cases.

See

Appendix D: Glossary of Terms

for more information on the Throttle Position Sensor.

TPS Activation Option

The TPS Activation Option allows the throttle position sensor input to control system activation. The Arming
Input must be used even if this option is selected.

Access from the Controller:
From the

Main screen

, press the “SETUP” button. Press the “DOWN” arrow button repeatedly until the TPS

Setup Menu selection is highlighted and then press the “ENTER” button. Press the "ENTER" button to select the
TPS Arming Option, then the “YES” or “NO” button to change the current selection. If the “NO” button is pressed
no change will be made.
