Tachometer Pull-Up

This setting enables or disables a 4.7k Ohm pull-up resistor to +12v on the Tach Input terminal. This option is
normally used when connecting to the engine speed signal output from an ECM that is not connected to any
other systems or modules in the vehicle. On vehicles that already have this signal connected, a Pull-Up resistor
is normally already in the circuit. You DO NOT want to have multiple Pull-Up resistors in the circuit. Vehicles
that have a Pull-Up resistor in the instrument cluster (such as the C5 and C6 Corvettes) will want to disable this
feature because it will create too much resistance. Vehicles that do not have a pull-up resistor in the instrument
panel (such as the 2010-2013 Camaros and 2007-2012 CK trucks) will want to enable this feature.

Access from the Controller:
From the

Main screen

, press the “GLOBAL” button. Press the “DOWN” arrow button repeatedly until the "Tach

Pull-Up" menu selection is highlighted and then press the “ENTER” button. Press the “YES” or “NO” button to
change the current selection. If the “NO” button is pressed, no change will be made.

Access from the Computer Program:
From the

Status screen

, press the "SETUP" button. The "Tachometer Pull-Up" option is found in the

"Tachometer Input Pull-Up Resistor Enable" dialog box under the "Options" Tab. Click "ON" to enable the
Tachometer Pull-Up Resistor feature or "NO" to disable the feature.
