RPM Hysteresis Value / Hysteresis Percentage

This setting allows the user to specify the hysteresis percentage for the maximum and minimum (ON/OFF) RPM
nitrous settings. For the minimum (ON) RPM setting, this is the percentage below the set RPM point that will
disable nitrous. For the maximum (OFF) RPM setting, this is the percentage below the set RPM point that re-
enables the nitrous.

Refer to

Appendix D: Glossary of Terms

for an explanation of how a hysteresis works.

Access from the Controller:
From the

Main screen

, select the stage by pressing either the "N2O_1” button or the "N2O-2" button. Press the

“DOWN” arrow button repeatedly until the "RPM Hysteresis %" setting is highlighted and then press the
“ENTER” button. Using the “LEFT” and ”RIGHT” arrow buttons adjust the setting. Press the “SAVE” button to
accept the new setting or press the “ESC” button to exit with no change.

Access from the Computer Program:
From the

Status screen

, select the stage by pressing either the "Nitrous1" button or the "Nitrous2" button. The

"Hysteresis %" setting is found in the "Nitrous Control RPM" dialog box under the "Options" Tab. Click the "UP"
and "DOWN" arrow buttons or type in any numeric value in the valid ranges shown above.

See

Appendix B: Nitrous & Fuel Operation

for more information.

6.8

Fuel Advance

This setting allows the fuel to start before the nitrous, therefore confirming that no nitrous flows without fuel
present. With the fuel operating at a lower pressure, this allows the proper amount of fuel to be delivered before
nitrous can flow. Some systems may not need any advance, while others may need more fuel advance than
others.
