4.17 PRGM Key and Prgm > Menu

The PRGM key activates the Prgm > menu (Figure 4-49), which enables you to store one or more instrument configurations
and waveforms for later recall and reuse.

The Model 4500B is equipped with a file system for saving complete instrument setups. This is useful for saving
configurations you develop for specific measurements. To make similar measurements later, you can save time by recalling
the appropriate configuration from memory, rather than accessing several control menus to reestablish the desired conditions.
You can specify the name of configuration files and their storage locations on the instrument‘s hard drive. The number of
configuration files is limited only by the size of the storage media.

The items contained in each saved configuration file are listed in Table 3-3. Items not included in the store and recall
operations include parameters related to the GPIB bus, Serial Ports 1 and 2, plotter, clock and display colors.
