Description:

Set or return the 4500B as LISTENER line termination parameter. EOIONLY is the default and
the preferred setting. The 4500B always responds to EOI when listening. When EOI is not in use
or not available from the bus controller, select the CR or LF character for the end of string (EOS)
indicator and set the controller to send the same character as the EOS. If this is not done, GPIB
communication will not be possible.

Syntax:

SYSTem:COMMunicate:GPIB:LISTen <asc>

Argument:

<asc> = {EOIONLY, CR, LF}

Valid Modes:

Any

SYSTem:COMMunicate:GPIB:TALK

Description:

Set or return the 4500B as TALKER line termination parameter. EOIONLY is the default and the
preferred setting. The 4500B always sends EOI when talking. When the bus controller does not or
cannot respond to EOI, select the CR, LF or CRLF character(s) for the end of string (EOS)
indicator and set the controller to accept the same character(s) as the EOS. If this is not done,
GPIB communication will not be possible.

Syntax:

SYSTem:COMMunicate:GPIB:TALK <asc>

Argument:

<asc> = {EOIONLY, CR, LF, CRLF}

Valid Modes:

Any

SYSTem:COMMunicate:LOGGing

Description:

Set or return the status of GPIB command logging. Logging saves to a file all GPIB messages
received and sent for review.

Syntax:

SYSTem:COMMunicate:LOGGing <asc>

Argument:

<asc> = {ON, OFF}

Valid Modes:

Any

SYSTem:COMMunicate:SERial:BAUD

Description:

Set or return the Baud rate of the 4500B RS232 port (COM1).

Syntax:

SYSTem:COMMunicate:SERial:BAUD <n>

Argument:

<n> = 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400

Valid Modes:

Any
