EXERCISE



TRIG

Press the TRIG function key and perform the following exercises to become
familiar with the items in the Trig > menu (Figure 3-8):

Time > Trig Delay

Press the Time > Trig Delay menu key. Use any of the data entry controls to adjust the time delay
between the trigger and the start of the data capture display. The instrument adjusts the limits of
the Trig Delay parameter based on the timebase selection to reflect an appropriate resolution for
that timebase.


Time > Fast Trigger

Press the Time > Fast Trigger menu key to turn the Fast Trigger function on or off. The Fast
Trigger operates only for mid-timebases (500 us/Div to 2 us/Div) and minimizes trigger arming
delay. Used to speed the formation of persistence type displays, e.g. eye diagrams. Normally off.
