Frequency entry for Channel 2 (if installed) operation. The procedure is the same as for Channel 1
discussed above.



Meas > Sys Tracking

When System Tracking is ―On‖, the following channel parameters are linked together such that
changing the value in any channel changes the parameter value in all of the linked channels. An
asterisk ―*‖ appears in the menu title of linked parameters. The parameters are: Units, Peak Hold,
Video BW, Averaging, Distal, Mesial, Proximal, Pulse Units Start Gate, End Gate.




TRIG

Press the TRIG function key and perform the following exercises to become
familiar with setting the trigger conditions for a gated statistical measurement.



Trig (Statistical)

Press the Trig > Gating menu key to select the controls for gated statistical

mode. If ―Free Run‖ is selected, the statistical measurement operates as described in the preceding
section. If ―Pulse Gated‖ is selected, additional menu selections are enabled that allow the
statistical mode to accumulate samples only between two gate cursors, Gate 1 and Gate 2. This
mode is used to gather the statistics within a burst that can be synchronized with the trigger
system.


Select ―Pulse Gated‖ to enable the full menu and continue with this exercise.



Trig (Statistical)

Press the Trig > Pulse Preview menu key to alternately select the full window

synchronization of the pulse or burst waveform and adjust Gate 1 and Gate 2 to enclose the region
to be analyzed.
