SET TIME
Syntax
set time=
hh:mm:ss
Parameter
time
Specifies the hour, minute, and second for the switch’s
time in 24-hour format.
Description
This command sets the time on the switch. You can use this command to
set the switch’s time if you are not using an SNTP server.
Note
The system time, when set with this command, is lost whenever you
power cycle or reset the switch. To avoid having to reenter the time,
you can configure the SNTP client software so that the switch
automatically obtains this information from and SNTP server.
Example
The following command sets the switch’s time to 4:34 pm and 52 seconds:
set time=16:34:52
