Cost
Port cost of the port. The default is Auto-Update.
Priority
The number used as a tie breaker when two or more ports have equal
costs to the root bridge.
Resetting STP to
the Default
Settings
To reset STP to the default settings, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type 3 to select Spanning Tree Configuration.
The Spanning Tree Configuration menu is shown in Figure 169 on
page 485.
2. From the Spanning Tree Configuration menu, type 3 to select
Configure Active Protocol.
The STP menu is shown in Figure 170 on page 487.
3. From the STP menu, type D to select Reset STP to Defaults.
The following prompt is displayed:
Do you want to reset STP configuration to default [Yes/
No] ->
4. Enter Y for Yes or N for No and press Return.
The STP configuration is reset to the defaults.
