Module Installation and Configuration

To extract a module:

1.

Ensure that the DX-700 power is off.

2.

Loosen both retaining screws on the module.

3.

Simultaneously push both latches away from the center of the module.

4.

When both latches are clear of the chassis, remove the module.

The DX-700 enables you to store spare modules within a chassis.

Use the following steps to store spare modules in your DX-700 chassis:

1.

Configure a bank properly, according to the rules outlined in the

Module

Configuration Rules

” section on page 55.

2.

Install a blank panel immediately to the left of the bank’s left-most input module.

3.

In the remaining slots, insert spare input and output modules as desired. The
DX-700 will ignore these modules during initialization, and treat them as spares.

Caution

Always push both latches simultaneously. If you use one
latch only, you can damage the module.
