Evaluation of absolute value encoders at load and drive end

Absolute value encoders can be evaluated for the prepared solution. There are several reasons
for this. Firstly, due to sincos evaluation, evaluation on absolute value encoders is very much
higher and therefore more accurate than on the majority of incremental encoders. Furthermore,
there is an assurance that the position of the knife will always be known, even after mains
switching. This means that homing does not have to be performed. However, mounting location
is also a decisive factor in respect of the accuracy of the encoder system used. Depending on
torsion and gearbox backlash, it can be advantageous to mount the encoder on the load side,
as this enables inaccuracies due to torsion and gearbox backlash to be disregarded.
