Cause

Remedy

Mains voltage too high

Check the mains voltage.
Check that the mains voltage setting on the
controller is correct (code C0173/000).
Check the drive dimensioning.

Too much energy regenerated during
braking (regenerative operation)

In single mode with drive connected to mains:
-

Extend deceleration ramps (codes C0013/000,
C0105/000).

-

If possible: Establish a DC-bus connection to
other controllers.

-

Use a braking unit or power supply unit and
brake module/regenerative module.

-

Check that the mains voltage setting on the
controller is correct (code C0173/000).

-

Check the drive dimensioning.

Drives on a DC-bus connection:
-

Check the fuses on all controllers on the DC-
bus connection as well as the fuses on the
brake modules/power supply
modules/regenerative modules.

-

Check that the mains voltage setting on the
controller is correct (code C0173/000).

-

Check the drive dimensioning.

20

OU

Too much energy regenerated during
continuous operation (regenerative
operation)

In single mode with drive connected to mains:
-

If possible: Establish a DC-bus connection to
other controllers.

-

Use a regenerative module.

-

Check the drive dimensioning.

Drives on a DC-bus connection:
-

Check the fuses on all controllers on the DC-
bus connection as well as the fuses on the
brake modules/power supply
modules/regenerative modules.

-

Check the drive dimensioning.

30

LU

DC-bus voltage has dropped below
the value set in code C0173/000.

Check mains voltage.
Check mains contactors/mains fuses.
If the incoming power supply is a DC supply: Check
the power supply module.

A current-carrying motor phase has
failed.

Disconnect the motor and check the windings.
Disconnect the supply cable and carry out a loop
check.

The current limit value has been set
too low.

Increase the current threshold in code C0599/000.

32

LP1

This monitoring is not suitable for
-

Synchronous servo motors

-

Field frequencies above 480 Hz

Deactivate monitoring by setting code C0597/000 = 3.

Ambient temperature too high (T

amb

>

40°C or 50°C, depending on
type/power reduction)

Allow the controller to cool and take action to
improve ventilation (control cabinet fans?).
Check the ambient temperature in the control
cabinet.

Heatsink badly soiled

Clean the heatsink and protect it against renewed
soiling.

50

OH

Mounting position of controller

Check the mounting position of the controller and
the prescribed minimum clearances below/above it.

51

OH1

Temperature inside the controller >
90°C

Check the temperature/ventilation of the control
cabinet in which the controller is located.

Overtemperature detection by
PTC/KTY: Motor too hot due to
continuous overload/overcurrent

Check the drive dimensioning.

53

OH3

No PTC/KTY connected

Connect PTC/KTY.
Deactivate the OH3 error by setting code C0583/000
= 3).

Ambient temperature too high (T

amb

>

40°C or 50°C, depending on
type/power reduction)

Allow the controller to cool and take action to
improve ventilation (control cabinet fans?).
Check the ambient temperature in the control
cabinet.

Heatsink badly soiled

Clean the heatsink and protect it against renewed
soiling.

54

OH4

Mounting position of controller

Check the mounting position of the controller and
the prescribed minimum clearances below/above it.
