Installing and starting up the "CrossCutter" prepared solution

Click code C4135/000 to open the application control word.

Set the following bits in the order indicated below to activate mark-controlled operation:

Bit 15 Accept the newly calculated cutting length
Bit 16

Accept the newly calculated reject length

Bit 17

Accept the newly calculated test length

Bit 21

Activate mark control

Set bit 22 of the application control word (C4135/000) in accordance with whether you wish to use mark-
controlled operation with or without a ramp generator (see Chapter 2.5.9).

Bit 22 0 = Ramp generator deactivated

Bit 22

1 = Ramp generator activated

You now need to set the following bit to start mark-controlled operation:

Bit 14 Start/stop the cross cutter

If the cross cutter is not in the initial position, the cross-cutter drum will execute an additional movement to
reach the initial position (starting position). This process is displayed in code C3505/000 with the message "lock
to cam busy ".

Once the cross-cutter knife reaches the initial position, or if it is already there, the system will switch to “cam
operation”; it is now coupled to the master value. This state is displayed in code C3505/000 with the message
"cam operation ". If a master value is set at this point via the DFIN signal, the cross cutter will follow it.
