The offset is removed by pushing the

OFST

bezel softkey and then the

CNCL

bezel softkey. The same

OFFSET FLIGHT PLAN

window is

displayed, except when an offset is active, a

CNCL

bezel softkey label

is displayed, as shown in Figure 15--103. The FMS message OFFSET

REMOVED is displayed when the offset is canceled.

The offset distance can be modified by rotating the joystick knob when

the

OFFSET FLIGHT PLAN

window is displayed and pushing

OK

to

enter the modification.

Offsets are applied to the flight plan while in the en route, oceanic, or

remote phase of flight, however they are not available while flying the

following procedures or areas:

D

SIDs, STARs, and approaches

D

Patterns

D

Terminal areas (30 NM from the origin or 31 NM from the destination)

D

Polar regions.

NOTE: The

OFST

bezel softkey label on the

2/3

page is removed

from display when an offset is not permitted.

Offsets automatically cancel during the following conditions:

D

When the course changes greater than 90 degrees

D

On commencing SIDs, STARs, and approaches

D

On commencing intercepts.
