NT8D14 Universal Trunk card

The jumper strap settings must be changed, as shown in

Table 225

"Jumper strap settings - extended range (NT8D14BA, NT8D14BB,
NT8D14BB)" (page 608)

, for the following:

For CO/FX/WATS or TIE trunk loops exceeding 1524 meters (5000 ft.)

DID trunks exceeding a loop resistance of 600 ohms

RAN trunks operating in pulse start or level start modes

shows jumper locations on

the universal trunk card (vintage BA).

For most applications, the jumper strap settings remain set to the standard
configuration as shipped from the factory. See
