Upgrading system software through the console port

You can upgrade the system software through the console port or modify the baud rate of the console

port from the Serial submenu.
To upgrade system software through the console port from the Serial submenu:

1.

Enter 2 in the EXTEND-BOOTWARE menu to access the Serial submenu.

Load and run a system software image in
SDRAM.
If password recovery capability is

disabled, this option is not available.

<2> Update Main Application File

Download a system software image to the
current storage medium as the main image
(the file attribute is set to M).
If a main system image already exists on
the storage medium, the M file attribute of

the original image is removed.
