Station Equation File

Station equations are used to adjust
the alignment stationing. The most
common reason for doing so is the
insertion or removal of curves during
the design process. Inserting or
removing a curve would require re-
calculating the stationing of an entire
alignment. Using station equations
eliminates this.

Station equations can create either a
gap or overlap as shown in the
following diagrams.

Station Back 10+000 = Station Ahead 15+000
