Confi gure > IP Routes > RIP > RIP access list

4.38

The unit has the ability to modify route metrics based upon received RIP responses. Static routes
and default routes will have their metric modified if the route fits within one of the routes found
within the RIP packet. For ethernet routes, the gateway for the route will be set to the source
address of the RIP packet. The route modifications will be enforced for 180 seconds unless another
RIP response is received within that time.

RIP packets must have a source address that is included in the RIP access list.
