Hollowing – Automatic
supports bilateral machining. TURN PLUS first selects a roughing
tool for rough-machining and then a tool for removing the residual
material in the opposite machining direction.
You can use the ”Hollowing automatic” function only for
recesses (a relief turn can be machined using a standard
roughing cycle).TURN PLUS uses the ”Permissible inward
copying angle EKW” (machining parameter 1) to distinguish
recesses from relief turns.
