TROUBLESHOOTING AND COMPONENT REPLACEMENT

ERROR CODE E6502

Arc failure.

The signal (current detection: WCR) that indicates the robot is executing the weld was
not returned from the weld controller/timer within 1 second, or less, after welding
started.

Main causes include:
1. Arc is not generated when welding starts.
2. Arc generation is interrupted for 1, or more, seconds during welding.

Check for insulating debris that prevents welding, clear debris as necessary.

Confirm that adequate supply of wire is available.

Confirm that wire is not stuck to the welding tip.

Check weld controller/timer and cables, repair/replace as necessary.

ERROR CODE E6503

Wire stuck.

Main causes include:
1. Welding and crater fill are completed and the arc is set OFF, but a weld stuck detec-

tion signal is received. The weld stuck detection signal does not clear after the es-
cape process is executed.

2. The wire is stuck to the base metal at weld completion.

Cut the wire and re-execute weld.

Change weld conditions if problem occurs frequently.

ERROR CODE E6504

Arc start failed.

The signal (current detection: WCR), that indicates the robot is executing the weld, is not
return from the weld controller/timer at welding start.

Main causes include:
1. Insulating debris that prevents welding.
2. Welding wire feed supply ran out, or wire is stuck to welding tip.

Check for insulating debris that prevents welding, clear debris as necessary.

Confirm that adequate supply of wire is available.

Confirm that wire is not stuck to the welding tip.
