6.2.7 File Transfer

The file transfer functions (Control menu, File transfer) allow you to copy protocol, configuration,

current state, log and event summary files to and from 3.5" floppy disks or USB memory devices.

You can then use these files as a backup (especially useful for protocols) or to send to Leica

Microsystems or your service representative to aid system health diagnosis.

All user levels can transfer files.

Basic configuration for file transfer consists of three steps:

1. Set Peloris to use a USB key (or floppy disk) and attach the device to the instrument.
2. Configure which files to transfer.
3. Tap Transfer files to copy the files onto the remote device.

The File transfer screen is shown in Figure 59 with the areas used for the three steps shown.
