Change Carbon Filter

Change the carbon filter every 60 to 90 days.

Ensure you have the carbon filter threshold set to a suitable number of days to alert you when filter

changes are due. See Carbon Filter Settings in 6.2.1 Instrument Settings.

Use the following procedure to replace a used filter.

1. Unlock the filter by turning the latch 1/4 turn clockwise and slide the old filter out.

2. Remove the plastic wrap from the new filter.
3. Slide the new filter into the housing with the direction arrow pointing up (see Figure 68).

4. Turn the latch 1/4 turn anti-clockwise to lock the filter in place (see Figure 69).
5. Make sure the filter is unwrapped, fully inserted, and that it is locked into the housing.
6. Reset the carbon filter age from the Instrument settings screen (see 6.2.1 Instrument

Settings).

WARNING
Always replace the carbon filter when the software indicates that it has expired. Running the
instrument with an out-of-date carbon filter may release potentially dangerous fumes into the
laboratory.
