Step 6. If a new drop is to be added along the cable route, use
the following procedure:
a) Cut the AutoMax network cable at the point where the
new drop is to be added.
b) Terminate the cable ends with BNC plugs, and splice
them with the new cable segments.
c) Connect the other ends of the new cable segments
with a tap attached to the new drop as shown
figure 21.2.
