21.2.6 Inspecting the Cable System
Periodically inspect the fiberĆoptic cable system. Use the optical
time domain reflectometer (OTDR) or power meter for the cable
inspection. You can also use OTDRs to perform cable testing during
the installation or to locate a possible cable fault during
troubleshooting. All tests should be properly documented.
