If the control transformer secondary is ungrounded, two surge protectors are
required: one for the lineĆtoĆline and one for lineĆtoĆground protections. Connect
the first surge protector wire labeled terminal 1 or 2 to one of the filter input
terminals. Connect the surge protector's ground wire to the other filter input
terminal. Connect the second surge protector's wires labeled 1 and 2 to the filter
input terminals. Connect the second surge protector's ground wire to the
protective ground. Make these wires as short as possible. See figure B.2.
