Overview
Functions

Safe torque off (STO).
(formerly: safe standstill, protection against unexpected start-up)
ƒ
Connection of safety sensors.
ƒ
PROFIsafe safety bus connection:
The transmission of safe information via the PROFIsafe protocol according to the
”PROFIsafe - Profile for Safety Technology” specification, version 1.30, of the PROFIBUS
user organisation (PUO) is supported.
ƒ
The safe inputs and safe outputs do not affect local functions in the device. They are
evaluated and controlled exclusively via PROFIsafe.
Danger!
If the request for the safety function is cancelled, the drive will restart
automatically.
You must provide external measures which ensure that the drive only restarts
after a confirmation (EN 60204).

Safety category
The implemented safety functions meet the requirements of the standards:

Control category 3 according to EN 954-1
In order to comply with category 3, the external wiring and cable monitoring must also
meet the requirements of category 3.
