Carefully follow the switch-on sequence described.

In case of faults during commissioning, the chapter ”Troubleshooting and

fault elimination” ( 158) will help you.

1. Connect the diagnosis terminal.

Connect the connecting cable to the

interface X70.

2. Ensure that the motor starter is

inhibited.

Switch the service switch to ”OFF” position

and lock it.

3. Switch on the 24 V DC supply

Close the contactor K2.

z

After approx. 2 s the diagnosis

terminal is in the “Disp” mode

and displays the apparent

motor current (C0054).

z

The uSErmenu is active.

z

The LED ”RUN” is blinking.

4. Change to the ALL menu.
5. Scroll downwards to C0120.

In the display 0120 is blinking.

6. Set the rated current for each

motor.

Enter the value from the motor nameplate. The rated motor current is

required for calculating the I

monitoring.

7. Set the PROFIBUS addresses.

The settings are accepted

immediately.

The LED ”ONLINE” is lit.

A Set a safe PROFIsafe destination

address in C1570.

The destination address only is

accepted after switching the 24 V

supply, see 12.

B Enter the unambiguous station address

in C1509

Possible values: 3 ... 126

Communication with the controller is now possible, i.e. all codes can be read

and all writable codes can be changed.

PROFIBUS is active.

8. Select the motor starter as the

destination for control

commands and setpoints.

9. Configure the process data

output words (POW) of the

master.

Assign the process data output words

(POW) of the master in C1511 to the

process data input words (PIW) of the

motor starter.

10. Configure the process data input

words (PIW) of the master.

Assign the process data output words of

the motor starter in C1510 to the process

data input words (PIW) of the master.

11. Enable the process output data.

Only necessary if C1511 has been

changed.

A Enable all process output data via

C1512 = 65535.

B Enable individual process output data.

12. Switch off the 24 V supply and

then on again.

Open the contactor K2 and then close it

again.

The PROFIsafe destination

address is accepted.

13. Switch on the mains supply.

Close the contactor K1.

14. Enable the motor starter.

Unlock the service switch and switch to

”ON” position.

15. The basic settings are completed.

The PLC can now take over the control and start the drive.
