SNTP Page

Simple Network Time Protocol is an adaptation of the Network Time Protocol
(NTP) used to synchronize computers clocks on the Internet. In this page, you
can clarify certain design features to ensure accurate and reliable operation.

Parameter

Description

Simple Network Time
Protocol (SNTP)

Select Enable if your network uses SNTP. If you want to turn SNTP off, select Disable.
When SNTP is enabled, an SNTP Status field appears. This field indicates whether SNTP is
synchronized or unsynchronized. Click Refresh to update this status.

Time Server (optional)

If your network has a default time server, enter the server's IP address or host name.

Time Settings

GMT Offset

The GMT Offset pull-down menu lists the world's time zones relative to Greenwich
Mean Time (GMT). Select the time zone where the access point operates.

Use Daylight Savings Time (United States Only)

Select yes to have the access point automatically adjust to Daylight Savings Time.

Manually Set Date

Enter the current date to override the time server or to set the date if no server is
available. When entering the date, use forward-slashes to separate the year, month,
and day. For example, you can enter 2001/02/17 for February 17, 2001.

available. When entering the time, use colons to separate the hours, minutes, and
seconds. For example, you can enter 18:25:00 for 6:25 pm.
