Checking the Hardware

The first checks you make are:
ac power
machine input/output devices
ac Power
Test each component receiving ac power. For each component receiving
ac power, perform the following steps.
1. Measure the ac line voltage using a volt meter and make sure it
corresponds to the power supply or component. Verify the
incoming power.
2. Check the wiring of the:
main disconnect switch or circuit breaker
master control relay
emergency stop switches
3. Check power cable connections. Make sure connections are correct
and secure.
Machine Input/Output Devices
Test each machine input/output device. For each device, use a volt meter
to make sure the devices are receiving the necessary power.
