Click Start to start the optimization process. During optimization, each
parameter is modified and tested. Optimization ends when no further
improvement can be reached, or if the classification result reaches 100%.

Note

You can click Stop at any time to terminate the optimization process.

Any improvements for the classification quality up to that point are saved.

4

Click Close. If auto optimization was able to improve classification quality, a
message will display prompting you to save the changes to the project.

5

Click Yes.

6

If the classifier parameters were modified, you must retrain the project to
apply the new parameters to the AFC. From the main menu bar, select
Process | Train Project.

The parameters used for auto optimization can be configured. In the Optimization
Settings dialog box, click Advanced to open the Optimization Settings dialog box.

The check boxes on the left activate optimization for their associated parameters. You
can uncheck all the parameters that you do not want to optimize. The text boxes on
the right specify the range and step width for each parameter.
