Batch Class Considerations

The following sections describe the requirements for Ascent Capture batch classes
that include Ascent Xtrata Pro modules.

For more information about using Ascent Capture, refer to your Ascent Capture
documentation.

Synchronizing Projects

Before you can use batch classes that contain Ascent Xtrata Pro components, you
must synchronize the batch classes and the Ascent Xtrata Pro projects. For more
information, see Synchronize Project with Batch Class.

If changes are made to the project after it has been synchronized with an Ascent
Capture batch class, it must be resynchronized. Finally, you must republish the batch
class for the changes to be available in batches.

Recognition Server

The Ascent Capture Recognition Server can be included in the workflow if you want
to add Ascent Capture’s forms processing capabilities for form types detected by
Ascent Xtrata Pro classification. If the option “Extract this class with external server”
is checked for a class (in the class properties in Project Builder), then Ascent Xtrata
Pro Server will route documents for this class to the Ascent Capture Recognition
Server for forms recognition. For this case, the Ascent Capture Recognition Server
must be placed after the Ascent Xtrata Pro Server in the list of queues for the batch
class.
