High Availability Support
The Ascent Xtrata Pro Server supports Ascent Capture’s high availability features. If
the option is activated in Ascent Capture and file access fails, the server tries to
restore file access. If file access is not possible within a certain period, an error is
returned.

Ascent Capture Internet Server (ACIS) Support
Ascent Capture Internet Server (ACI Server) adds Internet and intranet processing
capabilities to Ascent Xtrata Pro. With this capability, workstations can be connected
to a central site through the Internet (or an intranet) to assist in the validation
process. Batches can be scanned at a remote site, and then uploaded to the central site
only for validation and verification. To allow ACIS for a batch, you have to activate
this option in synchronization

You can not run Ascent Xtrata Pro Server at a remote site.

Processing Batches with Ascent Xtrata Pro Server
Just like any other Ascent Capture custom module, Ascent Xtrata Pro Server uses
batches created by the Scan module or the Batch Manager. Once created, the Scan
module is typically used to scan or import documents. The image resolution used
when scanning or importing must be the same resolution as that used to create the
sample images in Ascent Xtrata Pro Project Builder.
Ascent Xtrata Pro Server performs full text OCR, classifies each document in the
batch, and associates a class if possible. Next, Ascent Xtrata Pro Server extracts data
to fields according to the locator methods defined in the Ascent Xtrata Pro project.
Loose pages in the batch are converted to single page documents before
classification. Just as in the Ascent Capture Recognition Server, color images are
