Field Group Locators
The following sections describe how to set up a field group locators. There are three
types of field group locators:
• Amount Group Locator
• Invoice Group Locator
• Order Group Locator
Note
Normally you use field group locators only for invoice projects. When you
create a new invoice project, or open an existing one, the necessary fields will be
created automatically and the user needs only set up the extraction training set.
Amount Group Locator
The Amount Group locator contains all the fields that are related to, or make up, the
total amount. Note that many of these fields are optional, and need not be present on
the invoice. Instead the system internally determines which of the fields are present,
and all validations are based on the fields that are actually used.
The following predefined fields are included in this locator:
• SubTotal: Extracts a field that contains the sum of all line items. This is
necessary when calculated items like taxes, postage, packaging and credit are
present. In the absence of these other items, SubTotal equals Total.
• NetAmount0: This field that contains the net amount before any taxes are
applied.
• NetAmount1 / TaxAmount1 / TaxRate1: These three fields form a group. The
corresponding fields are filled with the first net amount, to which the first tax
rate is applied.
• NetAmount2 / TaxAmount2 / TaxRate2: These three fields form a group. The
corresponding fields are filled with the second net amount, to which the
second tax rate applied.
• NetAmount3 / TaxAmount3 / TaxRate3: These three fields form a group. The
corresponding fields are filled with the third net amount, to which the third
tax rate applied.
