Check for maximum length
Select this option to specify the maximum number of characters allowed for the
result.
Restrict allowed character set
Select this option to specify only those characters allowed in the result.
Define not allowed characters
Select this option to specify only those characters not allowed in the result.
Allow empty field
Select this option to allow an empty field to be valid.
Testing
Enter some sample text and click Validate to check the validation settings. A message
below the field shows the validation result.

OK
Click this button to save the changes and close the dialog box.
Cancel
Click this button to close the dialog box and discard any changes you made.
