Setup a Batch Class in Ascent

Capture

Introduction

Ascent Xtrata Pro is a tool for processing unstructured and structured documents by
the classification and extraction of items on the document.

The classification process results in a category (class) that the document is assigned
to. Classification can be hierarchical with every node in the hierarchy being a
possible result.

The extraction process results in the locations and values of items on the document.
These values are stored in fields and each extracted value has a calculated confidence
that is an estimate of the accuracy of the value.

All classification and extraction definitions and patterns that are created in Ascent
Xtrata Pro Project Builder are stored in project files (called the project). The project is
used during runtime to process documents with the specified settings and provide
the results to Ascent Capture.

Since Ascent Xtrata Pro’s categories and fields are created and managed outside of
the Ascent Capture Administration module, they are not immediately available for
processing with an Ascent Capture batch class.

To process unstructured documents in Ascent Capture with Ascent Xtrata Pro,
Ascent Xtrata Pro Server must be added to the list of queues for a batch class and an
Ascent Xtrata Pro project must be assigned to the batch class. Next, the classes and
fields from the project must be synchronized with Ascent Capture document classes,
form types, and index fields. Synchronization is performed with the Ascent Xtrata
Pro Synchronization tool that is available for any batch class that includes Ascent
Xtrata Pro Server.
