Document Operations

The following operations can be performed with documents:

Create Folder – a folder is inserted at the same hierarchy level as the selected

document and the document is added to it. This option is only available if at
least one folder class is available in the batch class. A dialog box is used to
select the Ascent Capture folder class to which the new folder is added. For
details see Select Folder Class Dialog Box.

Combine – all selected documents are combined into one document. The first

of the selected documents in the batch tree is used as the beginning of the
document, the pages of all the other documents are added to it. The document
remains at the current position of the first document.

Delete – the selected document and all its pages are deleted.

Folder Operations

The following operations can be performed with folders:

Create Child Folder – a child folder is created in the selected folder. If several

folder classes have been defined, a dialog box is used to select the desired
folder class. A dialog box is used to select the Ascent Capture folder class to
which the new folder is added. For details see Select Folder Class Dialog Box.

Change Folder Class – the folder class of the current folder is changed. A

dialog box is used to select the Ascent Capture folder class to which the folder
is added. A dialog box. For details see Select Folder Class Dialog Box.

Delete - the selected folder and all its contents are deleted.

Batch Operations

The following operations can be performed with batches:

Create Child Folder – a child folder is created in the batch root at the end of

the folder list. A dialog box is used to select the Ascent Capture folder class to
which the new folder is added. For details see Select Folder Class Dialog Box.

Drag and Drop Functionality

All drag and drop actions involve moving items from one location to another. The
following table gives an overview of the available drag and drop operations.
