Each group locator has its own property dialog where you can adjust specific
parameters and settings. Unlike the standard locators, group locators have to be
trained. This means that you need sample documents that are used to show the
system where the fields are positioned on the document. Each trained sample
document is then added to a training set, which is then used to train the entire
project.
The following locators are availble:
• Address Locator: Finds and reads addresses on a document.
• Address Evaluator: Compares address fields to an associated database and if
possible corrects the field’s data.
• Advanced Zone Locator: Reads the content of predefined zone(s).
• Barcode Locator: Finds and reads bar codes on a document.
• Classification Locator: Allows another Ascent Xtrata Pro project (with a
different classification scheme than the current project) to classify a document
and save the results to an index field. For example, it is possible to define a
project that classifies documents for 50 different languages. Using this
language project, the current document can be further classified to determine
the language in the field that is assigned to the locator.
• Database Locator: Allows records from a given database to be matched with
items on the document. A database with structured data must be used. If the
database contains customer data, the locator can identify the customer name,
address and customer ID from the document even though the document may
not even contain all this information.
• Database Evaluator: Compares the results for fields retrieved from a zone
locator to an associated database.
• Format Locator: Finds items based on regular expressions. Data that can
typically be found with this locator type includes amounts, dates, and
numbers such as invoice or insurance numbers.
• Invoice Header Locator: The Invoice Header Locator is a locator, that takes
results from 4 other locators providing numbers, amounts and dates and
