Ascent Xtrata Pro User’s Guide

Folder and Document classes that are already available from the Ascent Capture
batch class or have been created in the previous step are displayed in the list on the
left side. Extraction fields and their associated index fields for the selected document
class are displayed in the list on the right side. Additional index fields can be created
from within the Synchronization tool if needed.

Note

The list of extraction fields lists all the fields defined in Ascent Xtrata Pro

Project Builder for the classes assigned to the document class in the previous step.
Since Ascent Xtrata Pro supports inheritance, all the fields that are present in a class
node are also present in the derived classes. However, new fields can be added for
derived classes. These fields are also listed as extraction fields even if they are not
present in all classes. If a document is classified into a class that does not have this
extraction field, the corresponding index field value will remain blank.

Use As Display Field

You can define whether a field's content is displayed in the batch tree in the
Validation module. If you want to do this select Use As Display Field.

Note

Table fields can not be used as display fields.

You may define also folder class index fields as display fields. Select the folder class
from the list of available Document/Folder Classes column of the left Ascent Capture
Definition Classes panel to show the available folder index fields on the right panel
and select the “Use As Display Field” option for the index field that should be
displayed in validation.

Note

If used, the Ascent Capture folder classes and folder index fields need to be

created in the Ascent Capture Administration module before you start
synchronization.
