Select date formats that are found on the document. For example, select an American
date format (MM/DD/YYYY) or a European date format (DD/MM/YYYY). You can
use the arrow buttons to add or remove formats from the list of selected formats. You
can also move formats up or down in the list, which controls the sequence in which
they are evaluated. For the best efficiency, place the most likely formats at the top of
the list.

Testing

To test the settings, enter some sample input text and click Format. The sample text is
formatted per the settings and displayed in the output field. If the sample cannot be
formatted per the settings or does not match the validation rules, a warning or error
message displays.

Date Output Format

Select the desired output format for the date from the list providing the available
output date formats. The Date delimiter specifies the character to use between the
components of the date (month, day, and year). Once you select the delimiter, a
sample showing the selected format displays.

The Percentage Formatter has similar settings to the Amount Formatter, but it uses
different validation rules. It is used to unify percentage formats, and returns errors
and warnings when the validation rules are not satisfied. It also tries to correct minor
recognition errors automatically. For example, when a found tax rate contains
characters after the percent sign, then those characters are ignored for the output
format. For example, “3,4%iopu” is converted to “3,40%” if you specify two decimal
places after the decimal symbol.
