Validation Form Panel

Validation forms for document classes are defined for a project in the Ascent Xtrata
Pro Project Builder. The form defined for a project class is used for documents
classified to that class.

By default, the validation form panel consists of three areas:

• The Classification and Extraction Result Fields area displays the classification

result and the fields that need to be validated. The display of the fields is
based on the validation form design that was created in the Project Builder.

• The Document Viewer displays the current document. The area from which a

selected field result was extracted is highlighted on the document when the
field of the form has the focus and the viewer is shown in the Validation
module. In the validation form designer you can disabled the viewer panel
then no viewer is available.

• The InPlace Editor shows the portion of the image that was extracted for the

current field, its contents, plus an error description if the field is invalid. The
contents portion of the InPlace Editor also has a pair of controls that can be
used to change the size of the text in the field.

If the Document Viewer and/or InPlace Editor are visible they can be undocked and
repositioned. The Current error area is then part of the InPlace Editor panel. In case
the InPlace Editor is not displayed on the validation form the Current Error area is
displayed at the bottom of the form.

Tables

If a table is defined on the validation form it provides an additional toolbar. In the
right corner of the table’s toolbar the table’s status is shown. You may force a table to
be valid by clicking the corresponding button from the toolbar.

You may navigate through the cells of the table in the same way as for fields using
Tab or Shift + Tab to jump to the next respectively previous cell.
