Table Indexing
There are two different ways of table indexing manually.
• Typing – if a table was not extracted completely, you can add missing cells
during validation by clicking the cell in the table and typing the text. If you
proceed like this, no geometrical information about the table can be gathered
and only the values will be available if you mark this document for online
learning.
• With the mouse – if a table was not found during extraction, in other words
not even a single row was extracted, you can create a table definition and
index the table during validation by using the mouse.

To do this, click ‘Add Row’ from the table toolbar, to insert an empty row to
table. Select the table cell that you can fill from the table in the document
either by using Tab key or selecting the cell with the mouse. Select the cells
content in the table from document viewer by either clicking the recognition
result in the viewer or drawing a rectangle with the mouse. Select the next cell
in the validation form table and the entry that should be copied from the
document to it with the mouse until all available cells of the first row are
filled. To fill the remaining rows of the validation form table click ‘Interpolate
rows’ from the table’s toolbar. Then the systems tries to find to missing rows
in the document automatically and copies the values to the validation form
table. If necessary edit the found cells, add or insert missing rows or delete
additional rows. The geometrical information gathered by manually indexing
the table with the mouse is saved and can be reused for online learning.
Security Boost
When Security Boost is enabled then some minimum user permissions are required.
Defaults settings as mentioned in the Ascent Capture documentation must be
utilized. For details see the Installation Guide for Ascent Capture and Ascent Capture
Internet Server.
