Set Up Validation

Introduction

Ascent Xtrata Pro Validation provides enhanced validation functionality.

Document validation ensures that all document fields contain valid data with respect
to the actual user requirements. The validation process considers information from
the automatic extraction algorithm, the required field formatting settings, any
available automatic validation rules, and input from the interactive user interface.
Therefore, the definition of the validation process consists mainly of two parts: the
definition of the automatic validation rules and the definition of the interactive user
interface for manually inserting/correcting document data.

This chapter describes the general steps required for setting up validation within the
Ascent Xtrata Pro Project Builder.

Setting Up Validation

The following steps are required for setting up validation. In general, validation is
configured after classification and extraction.

Step 1

Set up an Ascent Xtrata Pro project for classification and extraction.

Step 2

Set up validation within Ascent Xtrata Pro Project Builder.

Step 3

Add Ascent Xtrata Pro Validation to a batch class.
