6 PPP and MP configuration
Return to the system view.
Step 5
Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view appears.

Run:
ppp authentication-mode pap [ call-in ]
The command configures the authentication mode as PAP.
Step 7
Run:
restart
The command restarts the interface.

If the username and the password are changed, use the

Do as follows on the routers:

system-view
The system view appears.

The interface view appears.

ppp pap local-user user-name password { cipher | simple } password
The command configures the user name and password of the authenticated.
